If you’re selling digital products, sometimes having a great quality ’eCover’ can be as important as having a great headline in your sales copy.  Some marketers argue this, but in my own tests attention grabbing, professional ”eCovers” increase conversions almost 100% of the time…

Why? – well maybe unlike unlike physical products, digital products lack tangible qualities (ie. they cannot be touched, felt or smelled).

Maybe the addition of a great looking ecover adds an air of professionalism to your site and gives your prospect a confidence boost before they buy…

Whatever the truth a good ecover will appeal to your prospects visually -

A stunning-looking graphic can help make your product look “expensive”, or even “exclusive” and the higher up the price scale you go the more important that is…

A couple of days ago I posted about how you can quickly increase your newsletter sign-ups and sales by using simple software applications like “Web Profit Doubler

After mailing some of my subscribers about it, it seems I’m not alone in thinking just 1 measly visitor in every 100+ buying our stuff is acceptable!

So today I’m going to give you something that will help you understand how to get more sales, without breaking a sweat worrying about funnelling more and more visitors into your site (see a bit further down in this post…)

Now here’s a few ways you could put this to work today and start seeing your sign-ups and sales go through the roof…

Remember everyone who sees your WPD box is about to leave your page (probably forever!)

#1  Include an extra bonus that you *DON’T tell* visitors about on the front sales page, then have WPD tell them if they order NOW you will give them this extra valuable bonus (then just show the second bonus on page 2)

In reality this is a little sneaky because everyone who buys get’s that bonus – It just means those that don’t see your WPD box get a nice surprise when they order and get to your ‘thank-you’ page.

Why This Works: – At heart we’re all bargain hunters so it makes your offer a little harder to refuse if we think ‘there’s something extra in it for us’ when we place our order now.

 #2  If your original offer is already packed with bonuses have your WPD box offer your visitor a discount if they order right away…

All you have to do to justify that discount is to take away the bonuses on the second page…

Explain if they can’t afford your original offer, or if the price is a little too high for them you’re ready to knock off $xx if they order – (they just don’t get the added bonuses from the original offer)

Why This Works: – Sometimes your visitor really can’t afford your product so rather than send them away, meet them halfway with a better price deal, many will take you up on the deal because of your consideration

#3  Use the ublockable WPD box to have visitors sign up to your autoresponder – Offer them a bonus for doing so – A special report related to your product works best.

And for even better results think about delivering the report in instalments each day for a week and make sure your put a reminder about your product in each message sent out.

Instead of ‘report’ turn the bonus into an ‘e-course’

Why It Works – Because you used WPD you haven’t lost the sale.  And you can use those follow ups to pile more reasons why your visitor should buy your product – Simply stated, the more times they are exposed to your message the chances of them handing over their money will increase…

Do you check your webstats regularly?

If not here’s why you should check them right now…

First of all I have to warn you checking this out is likely to make you feel sick to your stomach – But do it anyway because it’s going to make you a heck of a lot more money this year if you do…

Okay – Be brave…

I want you to take a look at how many visitors spend less than 30 seconds on your sales page

If you have stats anything like the average marketer then it’s likely to be around 50%+ of visitors…

Yup more than half the people will leave without reading your sales letter properly (Lesson 1 make sure your copy zings)

But let’s get down to more bad news… How many people visiting your sales page buy your product?

We work in an industry that has come to accept 1% or 2% as great news – ARE WE INSANE?

That means for every 100 people that see your sales page and bother to stick around long enough to read it, only 1 or 2 people will buy… What’s that really telling us – Well for me it says:

!! SIMON – WAKE THE HELL UP!!

When we come to expect that out of every 100 visitors *98 of them* will just leave

and we’re okay with it

then the world has gone mad…
It’s time to do something about it, do you agree?

Okay – keep reading because there’s something we can do about it

for example:

We can offer those 98 people another product (and increase the chances of getting a sale somewhere else – We’re in business to make money right?)

or…

We could tell them about another offer (maybe an affiliate program – and we could at least pull in a commission)

or…

We could ask them why they didn’t buy (so we can make better offers in future)

or…

We could tempt them onto our lists with a gift (at least they might then buy something at a later time once they’ve got to know us better)

Guess what?

We could do any of those things and our profits would likely double before the week is out, so let me ask you …

Do you do any of those things?

Or do you, like most marketers out there, (and yes me included) simply give up on the 98% that don’t buy first time?
