The supposed charm of Adsense for the advertisers is that it does not target the visitors very aggressively. That might be true, but disadvantages or potential problems with Adsense should be considered as well.

Advertising in the search distracts the visitor from the content. Moreover, due to sheer popularity of Adsense, users have started to ignore most of the other advertisements which may serve the users’ purpose in a better way. Many blame Google for this.

For some, the per-click system of Adsense is a gold mine but for most it is not. Those experiencing meager traffic density do not even earn a dollar per day. Problem is not with Google, if the traffic is low, but with the publisher strategy. The aim is to bring such traffic to your site that is more willing to click on the adverts. This may be easier to achieve on programs having the publishers-share up to 75 percent.

Amid all the speculation about the future outlook and performance of Adsense, we can be certain about some of the predicted upgrades.

To start with, we would be looking at a new algorithm enabling Adsense to accurately target ads. This would come as no surprise provided the capabilities of the present algorithm for Google search. Such an upgrade would also increase the credibility and appeal of Adsense. The new algorithm would also force the publishers to use more accurate keywords. . Adsense might even allow the publishers to define keywords.

One of the more damaging problems of click fraud would also be addressed in the new and improved Adsense. Google has vowed to curb such activities by introducing measures which are not prune to tactics like hidden IP addresses.
